Some autocad in the past half semester, and crash course in photoshop, illustrator, and indesign these last 48 hours. 

Feedback: smaller context plan, more detail for suitability analysis. Audience wants to know more about the process,  what were the opportunities and constraints and how you weighed each factor. 

It’s always nice hearing Prof. Radke talk because he believes in us, the students, so much…that we’re going to be a generation that can change the world positively.

Team ES196 did a great job this semester mentoring us on our projects and on life, meeting with us for sometimes-extensive office hours, and even calling us out when we only put minimal effort into ES196.In addition, some of them are going through exciting times…having a baby (Tina) and getting married (Lara)! We’d like to acknowledge their energy and dedication with thank you cards signed by erryone and presented to THE TEAM during our thesis celebration.  If you have thoughts about additional gifts, please volunteer your ideas! 

I have four blank cards for signatures and other artistic/poetic/musical expressions of gratitude. I will feel very lame if I am the only one that signs them. I’ll be in the CNR Resource Center next Monday (when our thesis is due zomg!!1!!1!) from 2-3pm. Please come sign the cards! I’ll also be on campus today if you want to sign early (12-2 @ FSM, 2-6pm @ Wurster). Most importantly, please forward this e-mail to our classmates. I definitely don’t have everybody’s e-mail address.

P.S. Since we’ll be celebrating the completion of our thesis projects on Monday, I (Sarah) think (cheap) champagne is in order. Let me know if you think that’s a terrible idea or if you want to pitch in a few bucks.

The college student stereotype of poor midterm prep

Start studying at 10pm, 11 hours before the midterm.

Study/snack/surf the web until 4am. Get through about 2/3 of the material.

Call BearWalk to go back to the apartment. “I’ll cover the rest of the material in the morning. I’ll be more awake and it’ll go faster!”

Go to sleep at about 5. Set an alarm for 6:30am. Set a second alarm for 7am, just in case you don’t hear the first alarm. You set up on the futon in the living room so it’ll be easier to get up. 

Wake up at 9:05am, 25 minutes before the midterm.  You’re glad your roommate was wheeling her bike out the door.

Brush your teeth and wash your face while toasting 2 pieces of bread. Spread peanut butter and jelly on the toast and eat on the way to class.

Anyways, last midterm over!
